converts lignite and sub-bituminous low-rank coals (LRC) into high-rank equivalent
clean-coal fuel and a high
quality Synthetic Crude oil product by drying and pyrolysis.
CCI Synthetic Crude Oil Advantages *
CCI's projects provide a domestic synthetic crude oil resource that can
help reduce our dependence on foreign oil. The coal-tar-oil produced from the
CCI process will be
hydrotreated and used to make motor fuels or as a chemical intermediate. The
quality of our coal-tar-oil is superior to coal-tar-oil produced from blast
furnace coke ovens or town-gas plants and the hydrotreated Synthetic Crude oil
makes an excellent refinery feedstock with the following properties:
